Pastor Joylynn was called to serve Pleasant Hill Community Church in January 2023.
She was raised in the Greater St. Louis area of Missouri and has lived in various parts of the country. After a long career in technology, she entered Eden Theological Seminary in Webster Groves, Missouri, graduating in 2014. Prior to being called to Pleasant Hill Community Church, she served Plymouth Congregational UCC, located in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, for eight years.
Pastor Joylynn is also an artist using a form of acrylic painting known as fluid art and experiences painting as a spiritual practice. “When I paint, the rest of the world just seems to slip away, and I know I am in the presence of pure Holiness.”
Pastor Joylynn describes herself as a life-long student of Scripture, church history, the Gnostic Gospels, the Enneagram, and mysticism. She loves a good group discussion about matters of faith.
Pastor Joylynn has two children, as well as grandchildren, and lives with her dogs, Elijah and Jonah.
